Slip and falls are one of the most common hazards in the workplace. Employees working in a fast food chain may find themselves slip and fall due to a slippery floor or grease. Even the mechanics at auto repair shops can slip and fall because of automotive fluids on the floor. Those who are working at offices are not safe from slip and falls either. Simply put, wherever you are or whatever your job is, you are always at risk to slip and fall.

Seek Medical Attention

The first thing you need to do if you are injured because of a slip and fall accident in the workplace is to seek medical attention right away. Don’t worry about the medical bills or possible absences from work after the accident because your employer will get you covered for that.

All employers are required by the state to have worker’s compensation benefits. This will help employees or workers who got injured while working and give them compensation for their losses.
