Below are 9 of the most affordable places to find cheap land in the US.
1. Pima County, AZ
Located in south-central Arizona, most of the population in the county is concentrated in Tucson.
Pima was one of the four original counties in Arizona and is named after the Pima Native Americans.
It is also home to Saguaro National Park, among other national protected areas.
2. Rio Arriba, NM
Rio Arriba County is on the northern border of New Mexico and is part of the Albuquerque-Santa Fe-Las Vegas combined statistical area.
It was also one of the four original counties in New Mexico and there are a number of national protected areas in the county.
3. Fulton County, AR
Fulton County is in north-central Arkansas in the Ozarks.
It has a small population and a very low cost of living.
It is also home to one of the world’s largest springs!
4. Lake County, OR
Lake County is in a high-desert region, known as the Oregon Outback.
However, don’t let that fool you, there are many lakes within its boundaries.
The county is also an agricultural hub and is home to a variety of cattle ranches, hay farms and timber holdings.
5. Sharp County, AR
Sharp County is not far from Fulton County and is also located in the Ozarks.
The local economy is based in tourism and agriculture and is known for its watermelon production.
Situated in the Ozarks, there are many resort communities as well as vacation homes here.
6. Alamosa County, CO
Located in south-central Colorado, Alamosa means “grove of cottonwood trees.”
It is home to the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve, where you can go sandboarding!
There is also a small regional airport here with service to Denver.
7. Hudspeth County TX
Hudspeth County is near the border with Mexico in the Trans-Pecos region of West Texas.
It is a mountainous and arid portion of the state with a small population and a lot of vacant land.
The majority of the land in the region is privately owned ranchland.
8. Apache County, AZ
Located in the northeast corner of Arizona, Apache has some of the cheapest land on this list.
It also has the most land designated as a Native American reservation of any county in the US.
So, if you are looking for land here, be sure to check whether the property is on a reservation.
Typically, you will need to enter into a land lease for land held by Native American tribes.
9. San Bernardino County, CA
This county is located in Southern California and is part of the Greater Los Angeles Area.
Over 80 percent of the county is public land and there are several numerous wilderness areas in the county.

These are just a few of the counties where you can find affordable land.
